Meanwhile, in 2006, Boss Media became one of the original suppliers of software – especially its Bingo platform – to the new Svenska Spel online service.
A Swedish government service, Svenska Spel launched its online gaming services in collaboration with Boss Media to develop and provide the necessary technology. Boss Media supplied the software for Svenska Spel’s online poker and other digital gambling products.
The partnership with Svenska Spel was significant but troublesome. Boss Media was a leading provider in the industry, but the cautious Swedish government voiced concerns about Boss Media’s operating arm.

During the tendering process, the decision to sell GoldClubCasino.com and Casino.com was taken by the current CEO.. No longer would Boss Media be an operator and they would focus only on software.
“After selling Gold Club, we started to lose experience as an operator, and it would cost us”.
Losing first hand operator experience would contribute to the downfall of Boss Media. They became under-informed and unable to react quickly to new market trends in the online market.
As their software aged, their online market share declined.
But, as a result of the sale, Boss Media’s reputation improved and they gained approval from the Swedish government to be the key games software supplier for Svenska Spel.
And the partnership proved successful. It continued for many years.
“Trackchain AB developed the bingo for Boss Media which then licensed it to the Swedish Government. Traction became NYX Gaming Group. Bingo continued to be developed and eventually NYX Gaming Group was taken over by Scientific Games. Staffan Lindgren was the man behind all that. “
Poker was also supplied by Boss Media to the Swedish government. They had their own closed network for citizens of Sweden, so it was not a part of Boss Media’s general poker network.
